It’s your last semester of college and you find a sudden urge to pursue a career in entertainment. Before you go on and switch your major from Neuroscience to Drama check out this list of celebrities whose degrees may surprise you!

1. Actor James Franco earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from UCLA and Master’s of Fine Arts from Columbia University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English at Yale University.


2. Actress Maggie Gyllenhall earned a Bachelor’s degree in Eastern Religions from Columbia Univeristy.


3. Actor Steve Carell earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from Denison University.

Angela studied abroad in Europe with the SDSU School of Communication in 2012.
