What better place to take your mum then the gorgeous and timeless country of Ireland! Packed with interesting history, unparalleled culture, friendly locals, and magnificent imagery, Ireland has so much to offer. Any adventurous mum will absolutely love the gorgeous sites of Ireland. Whether your taking in the stunning green imagery, venturing to one of the many castles, doing some shopping in Dublin, or enjoying a mother-daughter drink in one of the many pubs, there’s plenty to do with your mum in Ireland. For the best experience, rent a car and drive the coastline of Ireland stopping for a night or two at a quaint B & B with authentic feel and food! Take your adventurous mom for a hike on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. These cliffs rise 120 meters above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag’s Head and Oder in incredible view! Take your adventurous mom to explore Stonehenge. This prehistoric monument is an incredible sight and the ride out to it will be fun! Some of the tours also take you to Salisbury and Old Sarum where you’ll see a huge earthwork raised in about 500BC by Iron Age settlers. Stop by the White House or the Lincoln Memorial If it’s a rainy day you’re always welcomed to stop by the Smithsonian to take a walk through history. Explore the back streets of Paris. Every area of Paris seems to have some backstreet or hidden treasure! To step back in time, head to les passages, or covered walkways where people used to do their shopping, hidden throughout the city. Le Marais and the Latin Quarter, two of the oldest areas in Paris have many quaint haunts, from small cafes to cute stores to hidden galleries. The areas around Centre Pompidou (the modern art museum) and Monmartre are very artsy and full of great street art, artists and galleries.
Take mom and get in touch with your spiritual side. Asia is the birthplace of multiple major world religions and as a result has temples, mosques, synagogues, shrines, and churches that will blow your mind for their intricate designs as well as their symbolic meanings. Between Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the temples of Bagan in Myanmar, and Harmandir Sahib or “the Golden Temple” in India which represents one of the holiest sights for Sikh’s, you’re sure to be amazed and inspired by these meaningful structures.
