The Thrill Of The Ride

This past week my family and I took a roadtrip to Charolette, North Carolina to drop off my cousin at UNC! It was a very long and restless drive but it was worth every mintue when we got there! We experienced downtown Charolette but my favorite place to go was the White water rafting center! It is an amusment park with all different activities from zipling to rock climbing and obviously white water rafting!

I didn’t want to go at first because I HATE heights and anything that puts me out of my comfort zone but my cousin Ashley convinced me to go and I’m so glad she did! The first thing we did was ziplining and that was what I was most nervous about because of the heights factor! As I was climbing up the steps I was freaking out more and more with each step my legs were shaking. The woman working the zipline buckled me up and told me the rules… I had no choice but to force myself to jump off the ledge! I was so scared but it was by far one of the coolest things I have ever done!

Being that high above the water and pretty much flying through trees was relaxing and exciting at the same time! It was something I never thought I would have the guts to do! We did many other activities that day but ziplining was my favorite because I faced my fear and it was something I never thought I would be brave enough to do! So my challenge to you this weekend is to go out and do something that scares you! Do something that you always wanted to do but never had the courage to do…push yourself over the edge and take a leap of faith! You might just find that you love that “thing” that scared you or it might just be for the thrill of the ride!
